Right now it’s not yet daylight and I’m sitting here in my workout gear waiting for the sun to come up so I can get outside and do my morning walk/jog/ workout. Since I signed up for 12wbt with Michelle Bridges my morning time on the internet has been replaced with a morning workout. So as well as helping me lose weight it’s forcing me to give up a lot of my net surfing time, which is probably a good thing. Much nicer to be out there IN life instead of in here reading about other peoples lives. So thats why I haven’t been around as much lately.

On the finances front we are submitting our paperwork for the refinance at the end of the week. Thats the biggest thing thats happening. We decided to put the car fund on hold and apply everything to the credit cards again while we’re waiting for the refinance, it looks better if they can see extra amounts being paid off the cards regularly. I’ve spent much less on groceries this week just because we’re eating healthier and what’s great about doing this weight loss program is the menu plans are all worked out for me! I just choose the recipes before I go to the shops.

The sun is just appearing and I’m off to walk/jog/shuffle my way round the neighbourhood before work.

Crunch Time: Lose Weight Fast and Keep it OffI spoke to the mortgage broker today and she has received a positive response from two lenders willing to consider a consolidation loan application. Now I just need to get the paperwork done and then clean up the house ready for a valuation. So our Australia Day here will be spent doing a big clean up and filling out forms.

On the health side of things I’ve decided to join Michelle Bridges 12 week body transformation program. Michelle is one of the biggest loser trainers and shes tough! There’s no excuses with her and the attitude to exercise is JFDI!  One I need to adopt!  I’ve already lost about 10 kgs of the extra weight I put on over the last few years but I’ve been stuck at this weight for nearly 6 weeks now and I still have quite a bit lose. Her program is $200 for 12 weeks, but there is 4 weeks of preseason so it runs for 16 weeks all up. It’s run online with podcasts and a great forum. I’ve paid for it with savings so no new debt there.

I really want to get myself fit and healthy and active again! My health over the years has often been one of the reasons that our finances have derailed so it’s got financial implications as well as health. I want to be an skinny, active, busy old lady! One that hikes and runs and swims and is involved in life! Not one that is too unwell to do things, who spends her days sleeping on the couch as I have the last few years.   So this year is the year I get my weight back down to where it should be and I get my fitness back!

It’s time to give up the excuses people! 
You know the ones. The ones you’ve been dragging out year after year, day after day. You’ve been dragging them out for so long that you’ve actually started believing them.
