Time for bit of a chit chat, courtesy of Carla over at Half Dozen Daily.
I’m starting with a picture of this 1000 piece jigsaw that I’m doing. It’s a picture of the periodic table with an image of each element. I love jigsaws, the harder the better! I have a jigsaw mat to roll it up in as the cat loves to ‘help’!
So what am I:
Reading: The woman on the mountain. Approaching 50, having raised a family and had a relationship end. Sheryl decided to follow her dream and live alone in the bush. She takes up writing again and faces the challenges, both personal and physical, of daring to live her dream. I really enjoyed this book. It’s a true story and beautifully written.
Watching: The Hobbit! I went and saw it this week and really loved it!
Listening to: One Second After. I really like post apocalyptic novels and this one has become a classic. It tells the story of a retired colonel in small town after an EMP hits ( electromagnetic pulse).
Baking/Cooking: Oh its WAY too hot here to cook! Eating a salad sandwich for dinner
Happy you accomplished this week: Back to meditating each morning and NO TV in the mornings. Feels SO much better!
Looking forward to next week: Going to see Les Miserable tomorrow!
Thankful for today: That friends and family in bushfire areas are all safe and well – and air conditioning! The heat here has been horrendous this week.
*BONUS QUESTION* Are you an optimist or a pessimist? I’m actually an optimist. Yep, I have down days but my basic personality is that of an optimist.

What’s the temperature like in your area? I’ll send you some cold(ish), it’s always pretty moderate here, weather from Seattle to cool you off!

oh I’d love some cold weather! we got some rain this afternoon which has cooled things down. we’ve been in the high 30′s to low 40′s here. it reached record temps last week in Australia, they even had to add another temp (50) and colour to the weather charts lol! – 45 in sydney last week.

That jigsaw looks awesome! Hard, but awesome. lol!! I really want to see The Hobbit and Les Mis… they both look amazing! I’m an optimist as well and think we definitely all have our “days”, but it’s the general outlook on life that counts, right?

I think I start the day as an optimist but it fades to pessimism pretty quickly.
The driver’s door of my car is frozen shut in the extreme Canadian cold and climbing in the passenger door does not upset me. Crabby, negative coworkers and clients can kill optimism pretty quickly.
