Ok, it’s that time of the week…  starting with a pic… Here I am working away at my computer in my dressing gown, trying to avoid the camera!

Reading… Eat to Live by Joel Fuhrman.

I love this book! Last year my cholesterol was very high (7.2) and my GP wanted to start me on statins. I came across Dr Fuhrmans e-book on lowering cholesterol, followed his plan and lowered my cholesterol to 4.2. I also lost 17lbs which I have kept off. Over the last few months I’ve actually been quite sick with a few old medical problems. My GP wanted to start me on some medications with quite serious side effects so I asked for 2 months to try and correct the problem with diet. Based on my previous success with the cholesterol he gave me 8 weeks. Well it’s six weeks now and I have lost 15lbs, my symptoms are gone and I have two weeks until we repeat the blood tests. This time I bought the Eat to Live book which has much more information and I know without a doubt I’ll never return to my old ways of eating again. I love this way of eating and I love the health benefits!

Watching…  Just watching the evening news
Listening to… Nothing for the last week, have been off work sick so no audiobooks this week.

Cooking/Baking…  Just took some roast pumpkin out of the oven and I’ll have a lovely spicy tomato chickpea dish over it. Chickpeas are my new staple – so versatile!).  Here’s a  a pic of a wonderful chickpea salad I made this week.

Happy you accomplished… Started my share portfolio with my SMSF! I’ve added a page where I’ll be tracking their progress.

Looking forward to next week… Planning on visiting Dad next weekend.

Thankful for today… Family that I can rely on when I’m sick.

*bonus question*

Best buy over the last month? Well, thats a tricky one as I have picked up a LOT of bargains for my stockpile over the last month….  I think the Raggultto Pasta Sauces for .99 cents was the best bargain, normal price is $2.68… we bought 20 :)

Pop over to Carlas to catch up on chatters!
